Life hacks to me are more like life savers. Life is full of frustrating little obstacles making daily life more difficult than it already tends to be. I can read these babies for hours and as a college student, I can take as much help and as many short-cut methods as I can find. For all you lazy, cheap, and/or college kids out there, like myself, I have compiled a list of the perfect life hacks just for you, enjoy.

1. When you're too lazy to wash any dishes. use a tortilla as a plate or bowl. No dirty dishes and a yummy snack!

2. Hang multiple garments on one hanger by using soda pop tabs to hang a hanger on the first hanger.

3. If you like to sleep through all your alarms (like me) or are a heavy sleeper, put your phone in a glass so it will amplify the sound.

4. Heat two bowls at once in the microwave by placing one bowl on top of a mug. Now you can fit two bowls in the microwave at once.

5. Place a dryer sheet over a fan or air vent to keep your dorm or room smelling clean with little to no effort.

6. Use white text and a black outline on presentations as they can be read on any color.

7. Reheat pizza with a glass of water in the microwave. Say good-bye to gross and chewy crust.

8. Tape a power strip to the nightstand or ledge next to your desk for more easy access to chargers.

9. Color coat your different keys using different nail polish colors.

10. Use Washi tape to hang pictures and decor on your wall.

11. Wrap a warm drink in a wet paper towel and place in your freezer or fridge to cool it up faster (usually in 15 or less minutes).

12. Download the app SelfControl. It will let you select an amount of time that you are not allowed to access any other distracting websites while you study or are in class.

13. Use Times New Roman when having to read a lot on a computer. Studies show it is the easiest and fastest font to read.

14. On the other hand, use odd fonts when taking notes in order to remember them better. Studies have shown you will remember your notes better.

15. Rub Bees Wax and then dry with a hair dryer to make anything water proof, such as shoes.

16. Wrap your charging cable in a pen spring to keep the cable from breaking or ripping.

17. Use scholar.google.com to search information for school papers or research. It provides more relevant information a lot quicker.

18. When going for a run, use the app jog.fm to find music that plays to the pace your run.

19. Apply toothpaste to an ink-stained area, let it dry, and then wash to remove ink stains.

20. Put a sticker with an incorrect PIN number on the back of your debit card and in case you lose it, someone who tries to use it multiple times will be locked out from using it.

21. Use game or movie soundtracks to study to. They are made to provide background sound that is not too distracting to concentration.

22. Like to listen to the sound of rain? Rainymood.com

23. Proven studies suggest the brain functions highest at in the morning and mid-afternoon, where night time only function is only at half.

24. Chamomile tea if you're trying to sleep. Green tea for energy. Peppermint tea if you're prone to headaches. Chai tea if you're feeling sluggish.

25. To make an essay appear longer, hit CTRL + F and search for "." to change the font size of all your periods.

26. Charge your phone faster by placing it on airplane mode.

27. Restaurants that have student discounts: Subway, Chipotle, Qdoba, Burger King, Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, Arby's, McDonald's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dairy Queen, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and IHOP.

28. For fun and random gifts and gadgets for cheap, go to shityoucanafford.com.

29. When heating left overs, place it in a circular shape as to heat your food more evenly.

30. Frozen and saturated sponges in a Ziploc bag, make for the best ice packs that won't drip everywhere when melting.

31. If you are at a hotel and need a charger, plug your chord into the USB port of the TV. Most will charge your phone.

32. Headaches in the front of the brain mean you need more sleep. Headaches from the middle mean you need to drink or eat more. Headaches from the back of the head mean you need to reduce sources of stress.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
