It’s finally 2018, and a new year means a bunch of awesome concerts by some of your favorite musicians! Being a music lover myself, I always get excited about a new year just by thinking about all the epic music performances that will be going on. If you have the ability to see a few concerts this year, then here are a few awesome musicians that you can see perform in 2018!

1. Esperanza Spalding

The beautiful and talented Esperanza Spalding is just one of my favorite jazz musicians. If you’re into jazz like me and love the sound of the bass, then I assure you, you will not be disappointed seeing her perform. Unfortunately, all that I know so far is that she will only be performing in New York, NY on January 15th and in Portland, Oregon on February 22nd of this year. So for those who are jazz lovers and who will be in New York and Portland during these dates, definitely make sure to see her perform!

2. K. Flay and Fetty Wap

If you’re looking to go to a few Hip Hop Rap concerts this year, then K. Flay and Fetty Wap are two dope artists that are touring. Those who will be in New York, NY can see K. Flay (by the way my favorite song of hers is “Can’t Sleep”) perform on March 19th at the Irving Plaza and Fetty Wap (who is known by his song “Trap Queen”) on January 20-21st also at the Irving Plaza.

3. Steve Aoki

If you and your friends are into Electro music than seeing Steve Aoki while on tour is an absolute must! Aoki’s North American Kolony Tour, with special guest Desiigner, will begin on February 10th at Echostage in Washington, D.C. One of the greatest things you could tell someone in the future is that you got to see Steve Aoki perform in 2018.

4. Maroon 5

Adam Levine fans will be excited to hear that Maroon 5 will be touring this year. This tour is to promote their new album Red Pill Blues according to Rollingstone. Their first show will be at Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington on May 30th, so there's still plenty of time to get tickets!

5. Sam Smith

Looking for a concert where you can hear some R&B, Soul, and Pop from one artist? If so, you're in luck because Sam Smith is touring this year starting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 18th at the Air Canada Centre! I just know that listening to his beautiful voice live in concert will be nothing other than an amazing experience.

6. Awolnation

Last, but not least, for all those into alternative rock, the band Awolnation will also be touring this year. According to Redbull, this tour is to support their new album, "Here Comes the Runts," and will begin in February. I know I can't wait!

There you have it; a few concerts to look forward to in 2018. I can already tell this is going to be another great year for music.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
