As an avid coffee and tea drinker, I never find myself in need of a mug, but constantly in want of more. I have about seventeen as of now (not exaggerating)! As I have gotten older, the affinity for adorable drink wear has become more of a hobby, which is now a prospering collection. I always buy a souvenir mug from any travel excursions and I more often than not receive one for a birthday, holiday, or special occasion. Here is a list of my most unique and favorite mugs and where to get them.

1. Elephant Mug

Anyone who knows me knows I have a borderline obsession for all-things-elephant. My lovely sister bought this gem for me at an Urban Outfitters in Chicago.

Urban Outfitters, $16

2. Chewbacca Mug

I had been searching for a Chewie mug for quite some time when, lo and behold, the glorious Super Target granted my wishes, as usual.

Target, $7.99

3. Hedwig Mug

I found this mug while perusing the aisles of Barnes 'N Noble one day. What better way to fulfill a bookworm's desires than sipping tea from a mug in the shape of an owl from one of her favorite series?

Barnes 'N Noble, $14.95

4. Jane Austen Quotes Mug

I found this mug in a quaint little coffee-shop-slash-bookstore in Chicago. Jane Austen is a legend, so she deserves nothing less than to be memorialized on a ceramic drinking dish.

Amazon, $14.95

5. "Wag More, Bark Less" Mug

This mug was very inexpensive and very high quality, as most products at Hollywood Feed (a pet supply company out of Mississippi) are.

Hollywood Feed, $3

6. Watercolor Corgi Mug

Another obsession of mine (this one might warrant me as certifiably crazy) is with corgis. So my sister, yet again, gifted me with the perfect materialization of that obsession.

This was a gift :)

7. Ugly Sweater Mug

I received this mug through a gift swap at a Christmas party. I had seen it at Target a few days before, so when I set my eyes upon it at that party, I knew it was going to be mine.

Target, $4.99

8. Giant Disney Mug

Disney World is known for not only its fun and magic, but its loyal consumers, and I am proud to be one of those consumers. I am in love with the Cheshire Cat, mugs, and things that are larger than is necessary. I found one object in a store in the Magic Kingdom that encompassed all three of those loves!

Disney World or Disney Store, $19.99

I believe the vessel that carries a beverage is just as important as the beverage itself. I hope you found some mugs on this list you loved! I know that when I am drinking from a cute, quirky, ceramic dish I feel 100x better. So go buy yourself a mug. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
