We're a couple weeks into the new year, and that means everyone is in the "new year, new you" mode. But what else is new this year? If you are an avid movie goer, you probably already know there are some gems coming out in 2018. But for everyone else, you're now in the know, because these are 15 of the hottest movies hitting theaters this year!

1. "Avengers: Infinity War"

If you've been keeping up with the "Avengers"movie series, or really just love superheroes, this is definitely one to keep an eye out for. This new installment to the franchise comes out on May 4.

2. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"

Personally, I am super excited for this one, as I've grown up watching all of the “Jurassic Park”movies with my family. The newest addition to this series comes out on June 22, and will be a perfect summer blockbuster for you to check out.

3. "Black Panther"

Can't wait for “Avengers: Infinity War”? Check out this new action-packed Marvel movie coming out just around the Corner on February 16 while you wait.

4. "Solo: A Star Wars Story"

As a part of the "Star Wars"anthologies, that included "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", this new hit will bring you all the additional info on Han Solo that you've been hoping for. This hits theatres on May 25, and I am still waiting patiently for a trailer.

5. "Maze Runner: The Death Cure"

I read this book series several years ago, and I have since been following the movie franchise. While it is questionable from a comparison standpoint, these movies are enjoyable nonetheless and this third installment is definitely one you should check out at the end of this month, on January 26.

6. "Ready Player One"

This is another movie being adapted from a best-selling novel, and I am super excited to check it out when it hits theatres on March 30. If you love video games and virtual reality, this one is definitely for you.

7. "A Wrinkle In Time"

Yet another famous book is being turned into a movie this year, and the trailer makes this one look so colorful and whimsical, you'd be crazy not to give it a try. This fantastical movie comes out on March 9.

8. "Insidious: The Last Key"

For all you horror fans, you are getting yet another addition to the well known "Insidious"movie series. Scary movies creep me out, so I haven't seen this series, but it looks good for those of you like this sort of thing! This movie actually already came out, and was released on January 5.

9. "The Incredibles 2"

This is probably one that we have all been waiting years for. The original "Incredibles"movie came out when I was little, and I haven't decided if I'm going to see this or not, but I think it will definitely be worth checking out at some point. If you have kids, I would highly recommend taking them to see this when it comes out on June 15.

10. "Deadpool 2"

This is another highly anticipated sequel being released in 2018. If you're into action and comedy, this is definitely right up your alley. Look for this in theatres June 1.

11. "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again"

When I saw the first "Mamma Mia!"movie back in 2008, I never would have guessed it would be getting a sequel. As a lover of all things musical theatre, this has become one of my favorite Broadway shows, and films, and I absolutely cannot wait to go see the sequel when it comes out on July 20.

12. "12 Strong"

If you like history and war films, this one is definitely worth checking out. This looks like it is going to be an action-packed and inspiring story, and what's even more exciting is the fact that Chris Hemsworth is one of the leading men, and that was enough to convince me. This hits theatres on January 19.

13. "Mission Impossible 6"

I think it's about time to step on the "Mission Impossible"train, if you haven't already, because this series is getting a sixth installment on July 27- a perfect action movie for this summer.

14. "X Men: Dark Phoenix"

If you are a Marvel fan, you've got a ton of new movies coming your way in 2018, and this is another one of them. Adding to the already well known and loved "X Men"series, this movie comes out on November 2.

15. "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald"

Last on this list, but certainly not last in our hearts is the another movie for all of you "Harry Potter"fans out there, and a sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"that was recently released. If you haven't brushed up on these series yet, you have time, because this movie will hit theatres toward the end of the year, on November 16.

There are tons more fantastic movies coming out in the year 2018, but this list has been narrowed down to just 15 of those. Check out all the other movies coming out this year, grab some friends and family, grab your popcorn, and head out to see some of the most anticipated movies of the new year!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
