There are those few Christmas movies that we think of every year as Christmas slowly approaches. Christmas time is a time for family, love, and relaxation. So sit back, relax, grab some hot chocolate and your favorite holiday snack and kick back and watch one (or all twenty-five) of these essential Christmas movies.

1. A Christmas Story

But, be careful not to shoot your eye out!

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

3. ELF

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!

4. A Charlie Brown Christmas

5. Frosty The Snowman

6. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer

You can even watch one of the branches off movies like Rudolph's Shiny New Year

7. Home Alone

But only the first two, the other ones are fake news.

8. The Santa Clause

All three of them of course!

9. White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

10. Polar Express

This movie seriously makes you crave hot chocolate, so make sure you have some in the kitchen!

11. It's A Wonderful Life

This movie is on loop all day on Christmas, so if you say you couldn't watch it you're lying

12. A Christmas Carol

Any version of A Christmas Carol will work, muppets or original

13. Miracle On 34th Street

You'll want to go to Macy's after this one.

14. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This is probably not one you want to watch with the little kiddos, so wait to watch this after they've gone to bed.

15. A Nightmare Before Christmas

A movie you can watch October-December!

16. Jingle All The Way

18. Jack Frost

Like Frosty the Snowman, but with a more heart-wrenching story

An ABC Family classic

24. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

You better not shout, you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why, Santa Clause is coming to town.

A Christmas comedy!

Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
