Move-in Day. Every college student has to go through it.
This is a day for students who will be living on campus in the dorm room of their college. I went through it for the second time this year. Move in day is a mixture of stress and excitement. You are so excited to finally be back in school in to see all your friends but you only have so much time to see unpack everything before you have to get to bed and wake up early and start classes.
I wish I remembered to take pictures of the hecticness of my room when I moved in. I packed so much stuff, so much stuff I may not even use! It has taken me three days to unpack and I still cannot understand why I have so much stuff. I brought way too many shoes and clothes with me for the closet space I have.
Unpacking was a challenge because there was so much stuff that was all over the floor that I could barely move. When I wanted to make my bed I couldn't because all my clothes were laying on my bed that I needed to hang. I couldn't hang my clothes because all my boxes and things were sitting in my closet. It was just one thing after another that would make it harder and harder to move in! My poor roommate probably thought I was crazy for all the stuff I brought!
I am happy to know that I was not the only one going through this on Monday, September 4th, 2017. I am also happy I am not a freshman anymore who had to run around and make it to orientation. I was able to just sit in my room all day and organize.
I know I said this already in a previous article, but I truly am excited for this year and I can't wait for classes to start in the next couple days and my sophomore year to finally get started!
