Move-In Day As Told By Amy Schumer
Syracuse university

You drag yourself out of bed at the ripe hour of 5 a.m., pack up the car and grab any last minute items including your phone charger, headphones and whatever else you may need for the long car ride to school. The day is finally here, move in. If you think everything's going to run smoothly, boy are you wrong. From the RA's singing when you walk in to placing all of your pillows perfectly on your small Twin-XL bed, the day will be filled with chaos, exhaustion, emotion and more. Here's move in day as told by everyone's queen, Miss Amy Shumer.

As soon as you get out of the car, you are (still) exhausted. The excitement hasn't hit you yet.

Then, you walk in the building, and you are instantly being chanted at by singing, cheerful RA's trying to welcome you into your new home. Now you are flustered, confused and freaked out.

You walk down your hall and start looking at all the other residents like:

Then, your RA comes and knocks on your door, introduces himself and starts spitting a ton of info out at you, only to leave you confused.

As you are schlepping your boxes up and trying to set everything up, all you can think about is partying it up later with all your new pals.

After all is said and done, you can't wait to start living life as a college freshman and wave goodbye to your family like:

Move-in day can be stressful, but it is the very first step of a whole new chapter. So, enjoy the journey, introduce yourself to your new floor mates, respect your RA and cherish this last day with your family before you delve into the world of all-nighters, massive hangovers, drunken hookups, wild nights, endless laughter and everything good, bad and stressful in between.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
