In today's society money is EVERYTHING, and it is everywhere. It's actually pretty hard to find things to do that don't require you spending money in some type of way. Want to go for a drive? Gas money. Want to have a little dance party in your room with the lights on? Electricity bill. Want to eat? Money.
Almost anything that we choose to do in our lives costs money one way or another. With all of that comes the age-old question of, "Can money buy happiness?" I mean, yeah you can spend your money on something to bring you temporary happiness, but they don't sell things on shelves that will bring us eternal happiness.
Happiness is a subjective feeling that comes and goes sometimes in waves. It's not easy, or simple. It's hard to find sometimes and even harder to keep.
Happiness comes a million different forms. It comes in different shapes, sizes, pieces, places. But overall, true genuine happiness is something you create yourself. It's something that you fall in love with. Something your body just can't seem to get enough of. The happiness that you find in other outside sources is merely a subset or product of the happiness that you have found with yourself.
People really do feed off of whatever energy you give. It becomes a lifestyle of sorts. It takes control of you at times, but in the best ways and at all the right moments. It's in the people you love, the places you call home, and the memories that you never forget. It's the little things that go unnoticed and the big ones that you just can't miss. It's intangible, you usually don't see it for yourself, but you can see it in others.
Where people find their happiness is not the business of others.
Is it long lasting? In most cases, no. It is completely genuine, the majority of the time maybe not so much. BUT, that's not for us as bystanders, friends, family, whatever to comment on. Happiness can't be forced, it can't even really be found, it's created. When it comes to happiness it is all subjective. It's a feeling and an experience, and it's different for everyone. However, if that happens for you is great.
But at the end of the day, TRUE, real, genuine, happiness will never ever be able to be touched by any monetary value. Hopefully, one day, everyone gets to experience it.
