My Mom and Dad are honestly my favorite set of people on the planet. Not because they raised me (but that does play a part too), but because they are so supportive of everything that I do.

I remember at my church, every Mother's Day or Father's Day, our pastor would invite people to share some kind words about their parents. I always would have a trouble coming up with what to say because honestly, I wish I could thank my parents for everything. So here is my personal "Thank You" letter to my Mom and Dad.

Thank you for always leading me in the right direction, even if it wasn't what I wanted at the time.

My parents would always somehow know what is best for me. I know that when I didn't understand how to navigate life at the time or even make correct decisions, they were always there on the sidelines and ready to help with whatever I needed. They would tell me stories about how certain decisions impacted their lives and how it parallels. They never forced me into anything, but always guided me to what I needed.

Thank you for supporting me in everything that I do.

Whether it was auditioning, sports teams, clubs, jobs, etc. The list goes on and on.

They always provided support whenever I needed them to.

It meant so much to have my mom and dad at my basketball games wearing my number and cheering me on, or putting my official NHS pin on my dress when I was inducted into NHS, or going with me to Philadelphia to audition for "The Voice", or even driving all the way to Tampa to attend my first Architectural Open House. There are so many times that my parents supported me and it truly meant the world.

Thank you for the little things.

Sending cards in the mail with gift cards to Winn-Dixie.

Texting fun Bitmoji's in the mornings.

Making food and bringing it down to Tampa so I could have homemade food (this one applies to one of my uncles too, haha.).

Helping me pick out my bedding.

Picking up the phone every day when I call you and listening to my endless rants about my latest architecture critique.

Listening to my songs when I write them (good or bad).

I don't think my parents understand how much I appreciate everything they do for me on a daily basis. Things like my dad cracking jokes over the phone, or my mom reminding me that I have to "put on my big-girl pants and get the job done," or even have group FaceTimes with my brother and I and all we do is play with the Facebook filters.

Honestly, I love my parents more than anything and they are such critical parts of my life. A number of things that they have done in my life really have shaped me into the person I am today. I will eternally be grateful for their support, love, and caring attitudes.

This is only a small part of the sacrifices they make and the leaps they jump through for my brother and me. I definitely know that I don't thank them enough for everything they do. So to my Mom and Dad: Thank you, Thank You, Thank You.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
