We've seen love for dad bods all over the Internet. Girls have fallen madly in love with boys who have these characteristic round bellies and hairy chests. But the young women of this world deserve to know that their appearances are just as valid— they need to believe in the beauty of the "mom bod."

We live in a society where magazines and television shows and movies are dominated by bombshell blondes and bodacious brunettes. But we all know that real life can't be Photoshopped. The everyday girl doesn't always have the flat stomach and the toned arms and legs. She can have a bit of pudge around her belly, and she can have the bits that jiggle and the stretch marks that come with them. These things are more than okay, because, with them, she is still every bit as gorgeous as society's so-called "flawless woman."

Girls with mom bods deserve to feel comfortable in their own skin.

They deserve to strut the beach in bikinis, to pose for Hollister advertisements, to turn heads every time they walk through the door. They deserve to be just as cherished as their male counterparts are; it's time to redefine our beauty standards to include the women who aren't naturally thin and fit. These women need to know that society validates their appearances, too, because why shouldn't we appreciate bodies of all sizes and colors and shapes? Nobody stands in the way of this acceptance except ourselves and a change in our perspective is long overdue.

Who cares if you don't have a flat stomach? Who cares if your thighs jiggle? Who cares if your arms and legs aren't toned and have freckles and scars and shaving bumps or maybe aren't shaved at all? You are a glorious young woman with the world in the palms of her hands. You have opportunities poised at your fingertips that you'd be so foolish to let slip away. No matter what your body looks like, it is beautiful because it is the vessel that holds you. Your mind so complex and your soul so golden— both of these things call your body home, so why shouldn't you?

The mom bod is barely spoken of, but it's time we adore it just as much as we love the dad bod. And to all the girls with mom bods, know that you are so radiant and you deserve endless admiration and happiness.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
