11 Stages Of Missing Your College Friends During The Summer
But That's None of My Business

Summer is a wonderful time! The sun is out and the water is warm. But for us college kids, sometimes it becomes a time of hardship. In college, you meet all of these amazing and wonderful people. You make strong bonds that could take the test of time. In the summer, you tend to have to leave your college friends. Whether it's because you're going home, studying abroad, or any other reason to separate you all. It can make it feel like that first day can't come fast enough. But don't worry, all us college students can relate to the sorrow of missing our college friends.

1. Saying goodbye for the summer.

2. Wondering when you will see them next.

3. Deciding if its worth it to drive and see them.

4. Keeping each other updated via group message.

5. Wanting to hang out, but then remembering they're hours away.

6. Looking at pictures to fill the void.

7. Seeing they're doing something exciting without you on social media.

8. Sending them stupid Snapchats so they don't forget you.

9. Planning a kick-ass reunion.

10. Simply missing them.

11. And that glorious, beautiful first day back together.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
