I'm sure you're thinking, "Yes, millennials are the source of the problem."

Well, who raised the millennium? These were people raised by the baby boomers, if they were not from that generation themselves. These were people trying to do their best, but people who inevitably dug a monstrous hole in the financial state of our nation. From this hole, so many issues spouted.

Because of the financial instability in the nation, the millennium is forced to work in ways that older generations cannot comprehend. Those ways are different, but often put down because "they had it harder." Older generations can't understand this for several reasons. Inflation and the unlivable minimum wage that has not increased with inflation cause young people to work a considerable amount more than prior generations. Older generations are stealing jobs from millennials and wondering why we young people can't find work. As this is opinion piece and not a statistical piece, I will link you proof to this below if you can't trust me.

We aren't trusted. Older generations have a closed mind to millennials. They tend to believe that we are incapable of humane and intelligent thought, even though they raised this generation. Who does that speak to? Do we blame the generation or those that raised them? I try to keep an open mind. I know that parents were also raised in troubled situations, so it was difficult for them to raise children, too. I understand that. However, it is not a justification for closed-mindedness and an absence of trust.

The presence of technology is another factor that is difficult for older generations to understand. Through the newest developments, we must work smarter. Cell phones are viewed as unnecessary and impossible, though they have become so important. To go to school, you are required to have the Internet. You have to reach out to people in the most efficient way. For the sake of efficiency and the new level of safety needed to be a regular part of society, we need technology like we have. This can be viewed as sad, but this is the world we grew up in.

It's not our fault. We are not the source of your problems. Stop thinking we are evil scum. I know that it is easier to blame someone else, like an entire population. However, you can't blame us for the problems that were here before we were. Unfortunately, that is from prior generations that raised us. Be it yours, or the ones before you, that's up for discussion. But the fact still stands: it's easier to blame someone of lesser power for your problems.

We are all trying to clean up a mess we didn't make.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
