It's that time of the year again...

Midterm Week as Told by our Presidential Candidates

With midterms beginning and the election coming up I felt as though we could all use a little laugh considering how crazy this year has been. Here's midterm week, as told by our Presidential Candidates:

#1. When you hit hour six of studying in the library:

Hour seven here I come!

#2. When your caffeine high is about to wear off and your roommate surprises you with reinforcements:

I knew I chose to live with you for a reason.

#3. When you walk into the class room the day of the test and lock eyes with your study group partners:

As a group, we may all fail. But if we fail in solidarity, maybe they'll make the grade curve in our favor.

#4. When you see the first page of the test and realize no amount of studying could've prepared you for this:

To cry or to manically laugh, that is the true question.

#5. When you hit the short answer question and start just writing down every word you know in hopes of getting partial credit:

Something is better than nothing, am I right?!

#6. When you get to a question you're POSITIVE study guide didn't cover and you make eye contact with the professor:

Or maybe it's somewhere in the book you never bought??? But they don't need to know that...

#7. When you finally finish and hand the test in to your professor:

Help me, help you, help me if ya know what I mean.

#8. When you're waiting for the grades to be posted:

No I'm fine really. It only accounts for like one third of my overall grade. Really *eye twitch* I'm fine.

#9. When you finally get your grades back and you didn't do as poorly as you thought:

Reach for the stars my friends, but never forget, C's get degrees.

#10. When you realize that now that midterms are over you can finally relax:

Lol, just kidding. Hi, post midterm relaxation period? Meet finals week. Finals week, meet the last piece of sanity I have left.

In all seriousness, PLEASE go vote this November everyone. We all might have gotten a laugh or two out of this years election process, but now it's time to put our opinions to paper and show up at the polls!

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

It is no secret that many American traditions have changed over time. As we grow older we change in so many ways that it only makes sense that we also change the way we celebrate special occasions. Of course when it comes to the holidays there are some family traditions that many of us still excitedly look forward to, whether it is eating your favorite dish or seeing favorite cousin. However, we all know that the holidays have overall changed a little from what they used to be.
