The holiday season isn't all perfect. It's a yearly reminder that you didn't get that Easy Bake Oven when you were six. It's the season of heated political debates around a table of overrated food. But worst of all, it's the time of year in which we are bombarded with irritating Christmas music that is expected to make us happy.
So to help you avoid the annoyance but still get into the holiday spirit, I thought I'd tell you my top three Christmas songs that help me get through it all.
1. "Louisiana Christmas Day" by Aaron Neville
I was raised on this song and I will never not love it. My Christmas would be incomplete without it, and I hope the same will be true for you, too.
2. "Carol of the Bells" by August Burns Red
I was not raised on this song, but it's almost like I was. It's fully instrumental and by far the best version of "Carol of the Bells" I've ever heard.
3. "Beautiful Christmas" by Big Time Rush
No shame: This song gets me so pumped. I don't know if that's just left over from my middle school Big Time Rush obsession, but it's worth a couple hundred listens every year.
I hope this list helped you out a little, either by providing useful information or just giving you more reasons to make fun of me. Merry Christmas!
