So, we're finally back into the routine. We're in the depths of a new semester and with that comes the reemergence of the things about college life that can either make us or break us, the things that drive us crazy. If anyone knows a thing or two about struggle, it's Meredith Grey. Let's try to relate, shall we?

1. When you fall in love with a boy in your class (again)

So what if you've never spoken to him? He looked at you. He's obviously in love with you.

2. The constant state of anxiety

Did you finish that project? Should you pull an all-nighter to finish that paper? What if you don't get a job after graduation?

3. Thinking you should drop out at least once a week

It can't be that bad, right?

4. Dealing with the professors who never update grades

Would it kill you to let us know where we stand every once in awhile?

5. Struggling to find energy for self-care

Do you think I had time to shower before my 8 a.m.? Really?

6. Realizing that you really are an adult now

Oh, sh*t....

7. Having three projects, two papers, and an exam all in the same week

Can it get any worse?

8. Student loans

Is there a scholarship for simply existing?

9. Getting your heart broken by f*ckboys

I loved him! ...At least I think.

10. When your parents call and ask when you're coming home to visit

Do I have to?

11. Never understanding what the professor is saying during lecture

Um, what?

12. The mental breakdowns that are way too frequent

Just let me cry it out, okay?

13. When someone takes your seat in class

I know we don't have assigned seats, but that's my seat.

14. Checking your grade after one exam

It was just one bad grade!

15. Trying (and failing) to find a way to relax

Relaxation? What's that? Is that a new class?

Sure, Meredith Grey has come a long way since her undergrad, but she still understands our struggles, and she always will.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
