Honestly, if one good thing came out of COVID-19's self-quarantine, it's my renewed fitness goals.
Thanks to working from home, I have about two extra hours to my day because I'm not commuting to and from work anymore. So what have I filled this time with? I've been able to work out more than usual.
Due to the hours I work, I'm never able to make it through commute in time for my apartment's yoga classes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thankfully, my complex is hosting all of its fitness classes on Zoom, so I've been able to tune in and do more yoga classes beyond my normal Saturday mornings.
I am also walking around my apartment, despite the higher temperatures. It's nice to take a brisk walk after sitting on the computer all day. But it probably helps that I'm doing an online challenge with a Twitch community, too. It isn't easy for me, but I feel great after doing these exercises. Besides, I reward myself with dinner and video games, movies, or books at night.
