One of my favorite parts of Christmas time is definitely all the college football bowl games. Football is one of my favorite sports to watch and over the holiday season and there are so many bowl games and all different matchups, that makes it fun to see all the different teams competing. Especially when ASU goes to a bowl game, then my whole day is surrounded by that game.
I used to dismiss all the other bowls aside from the major bowl games and the NCAA playoffs, as just meaningless games that the league only wanted to get air time and make a quick buck off of, well that's only partly true because they are stilling gaining revenue from advertisements and everything, but I've come to understand that it's more than that. If you take a look at a team like Kent State who's never won a bowl game before, going into the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl, one I've personally never heard of before, and they win their first bowl game in history and they celebrate like they just won the National Championships. That's what it's all about, a lot of these guys play not just for the big title, but their love and dedication to the sport of football.
