Meet Jeff, UA's Newest Bachelor!
Jeff Olex

Ladies, the semester is coming to an end and summer is beginning shortly so we all know that means it's time to find a date to that one last date party of the semester or start planning for the fall (and you can wear heels without worrying about being too tall next to him)! Jeff is a guy you will not want to miss out on I guarantee it. His sense of humor and sarcasm is going to leave you laughing every moment you're with him. So here he is, a West Coast guy living in the greatest college town in the world.

Name: Jeff Olex

Hometown: Simi Valley, CA

Major: General Business

Age: 21

1. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Honestly, I really dislike being corrected on things. Everyone makes mistakes, right?

2. What is your ideal first date?

Hmm… my ideal first date would start with me picking her up in my truck and of course taking her out to a nice romantic restaurant by the beach. We would eat some good food, have some drinks, and get to know each other better. I would finish off the date by taking her to sit with me on the beach and listening to the waves.

3. So Jeff, why are you still alone?

I honestly would say I am still alone because I do not put myself out there enough. Also, another issue is I don’t have a car so it’s difficult to do anything.

4. What can you not live without?

Laugh at me all you want but I absolutely cannot live without my boots. They are my lifeline and I wear them with just about everything.

5. What is the worst date you have ever been on?

The worst date I have ever been was with this girl that hardly talked and was on her phone the entire time. When I am on a date I like to get to know the person and have conversations, not sit there playing with our phones and ignoring the chance to at least get to know each other a little better even if it doesn’t work out.

6. Thoughts on Tinder?

Although I’m on Tinder I don’t care too much for it. I hardly check it and I’m super selective as to who I swipe right on.

7. What is your go-to drink when you are out at the bars?

My go to drink when I am at the bars is either a double whiskey straight or beer.

8. It's a Friday night, where are you heading?

If I don’t have any work to do I am usually heading to Gallettes or wherever my friends want to go.

9. What qualities do you look for in a girl?

I really look for a girl who has a good head on her shoulders. I want someone who isn’t over-dramatic or freaks out about the littlest things. It’s always a plus if I can find someone that laughs at my jokes even if we both know they aren’t funny!

Well, ladies, there you have it. Looking for a guy to chill on the beach with and eat some good food? Don't wait too long or else he will have someone else laughing to his jokes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
