My Review Of 'Me Before You'
US Magazine

Last week, while watching the movie "Me Before You," I walked in knowing that it would break my heart. I had read the book years before and knew that I would be completely devastated and crying my eyes out by the time the movie finished. Little did I know how brilliant and absolutely eye-opening the movie would be, even though I could barely get off my chair due to the crying that turned into laughter. My emotions went haywire.

The truth is that you can't save everyone. You do your best to love them and support them, but, in the end, their choices are their own. People make their own choices and you can choose to either stand beside them or not at all. Your choice is just as valid as theirs. Sitting in this dark theater, my heart broke for Louisa and the pain that she would endure. However, on some level, I understood Will's decision and I respected it. It's one of those topics that make you think and make you realize that you don't really know what you would do in his place. How would you feel? How would you live?

Louisa did everything that she could to give Will the desire to live and, to a certain extent, he did. With her, he was a different man who was filled with happiness. However, his choice to leave this world left me and the entire theater sobbing loudly because we always want the happy ending. Sometimes, there are no happy endings. We try our best to live life to the fullest, but then an earth-shattering event occurs and we simply cannot live the way that we used to. Some of us have the strength and desire to move forward, but some just live painfully and choose not to live this way.

For the most part, my focus was on Louisa and how much she loved Will. She did everything from taking him horse racing to going on beach trips. It wasn't enough for him. She saw the person and not the chair, but but he did not see the person. He just felt the chair. This was not the life that he wanted to live and he chose to leave it. That is the hardest lesson to learn and the hardest thing that I've ever had to accept. You can't save everyone.

People will be selfish. People will do what is best for themselves, despite loving you. Will did what he felt was best for him and his stubbornness left his mind closed to any other decision. He made Louisa promise to live her life boldly and to the fullest extent. In the end, that is all that any of us can do.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
