5 Traits I Hope To Find In A Partner Someday

Nothing is more of a turn off than a girl who hears what you are interested in and sticks up her nose, and judges it before she tries it.

In the perfect world she would get all of my quirks, dress like me, and wouldn't mind spending the day listening to old records or going to a punk show, but that isn't necessarily what I am after. I never would expect her to change for me, just like I would never want her to try and change me. There are a lot of things, but here are 5 things that I hope to get out of a partner someday.

1. BE ACCEPTING AND SHOW INTEREST IN MY INTEREST

Yes, of course I don't expect her to be head-over-heals into everything I am, but music is a big part of my life, and it makes me feel good when people pay some interest in my interests. Nothing gets me more than when a girl is open-minded to other people's interests and tries to understand why that person likes that thing, or what exactly that thing is. Nothing is more of a turn off than a girl who hears what you are interested in and sticks up her nose, and judges it before she tries it.

2. SOMEONE WHO ISN'T AFRAID TO CROSS ME OR BE BRUTALLY HONEST

No one wants someone who idolizes the other person so much that they would never cross the other person, or condemn them for their actions. I want a partner that will not have a hard time telling me when they think I need to hear something. I also want a wife that will uphold God's standards for the family over mine, if I ever dare to go against His. Basically, I want a girl that isn't afraid to speak the truth when I need to hear it.

3. SOMEONE THAT IS MY BEST FRIEND BUT ALSO A BABE

I couldn't picture spending my life with someone I don't have fun with, and someone's who is my best friend. Someone that makes everyday times and tasks interesting, and exciting. I want our friendship to be there so that even if that girl someday no longer looks the same as when I first met her, it won't shift my whole world. Someone I'm so close too it doesn't bother me when they are having a bad hair day (or a bad day in general lol). Not saying I don't want that romantic connection I just want both.

4. I NEED SOMEONE WHO WON'T MIND THE RIDE

I plan to spend most my life as a musician, and inside that industry, and with that comes tours, and travel. I would like to not inconvenience her but it is something I feel that I must do, and I can't control when I find the right one, although I would like to say I can. As much as my personality leads me to not want to inconvenience her, if she loves me she will probably enjoy what I do and be able to go along for the ride.

5. I WANT SOMEONE WHO PUTS ME AT EASE

Throughout my life, I have had a tendency, to at times feel uneasy with life, as we all do. We all know those people who just put us at ease when we are on edge. Those people who calm us down, just by the way they talk. Having someone that can do this for you is one of the best things in the world.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
