What I Experience In A Day In Manhattan

My summer can't be complete until I take the metro train from Long Island to Penn Station with my loved ones. When the day is sunny and warm, it definitely seems like the perfect time to walk all over the streets of Manhattan. While I'm trapped within the crowds, I tend to forget about the noises and people by immersing myself in the beauty of the metropolitan system.

A city that gleams at night, Manhattan is the best place for me to chill. Times Square seems rad and so does Central Park. Another wonderful place to visit is MoMA. MoMA, which is also known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is just a few block away from Times Square.

I walk on the sidewalks in Times Square at night to take in the breathtaking beauty of the lit shopping stores and theaters. What seems like a usual trip is more like a new and exciting opportunity to discover while walking through the streets of Times Square. The city that never sleeps; I find it the place which always seems to be on the run, bustling with activity.

While we are at Time Square, I find it beneficial to save the moments we shared with our loved ones. I share those moments with them by taking selfies of myself and my close ones to capture the moment. Even though the memories lay hidden within our camera lens, experiencing them at first-hand sounds like a deal. While I'm there, "shopping till I drop" seems to be my favorite quote. Carrying my Sephora and Forever 21 bag throughout the day, my experience in the city seems to be getting even better.

After a little shopping, our favorite place to visit is Central Park. As soon as we get there, we all fall in love with the garden and the park. I just amaze myself with its tranquil surroundings. While my little sister tags along and plays a game with my cousin, I begin to click selfies and pictures of the garden.

I love to relax and walk a bit. It makes the adrenaline in my body rush super fast. Honestly, what is better than just chilling with some close friends and family? While exploring my surroundings, I find that the nearest Chipotle and ice cream store is two to three blocks away. I always whisper to myself that "heaven is near."

Our next stop in our trip is to head to the MoMA. I sometimes engross myself in those paintings and stare at them in awe. One painting can contain so much history. I sometimes dare myself to take a painting off the wall and take it home. By all means, I actually don't persist to my foul intentions. (hehe) In any case, I'm glad we always take a trip to that museum. If anyone reading this article wants to take a trip to Manhattan, the MoMA museum would be your best bet to visit. I repeat: the museum is just mesmerizing.

I would like to think my trip is over when the day ends. Sadly, I wish we could spend more time in Manhattan. Every time I visit there, It feels great to be free. I love the wind brushing my hair against my cheeks. In no time, it feels like freedom is near, but getting lost in crowds is also inevitable.

If I happen to feel like that, my loved ones stick close by me. It sounds so beautiful to even resist. When the day ends, I finally take a look at my newly snapped pictures on my camera roll and smile to myself.

I sincerely hope that anyone reading this article feels the same way.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
