On May 22, in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert, a bomb went off that killed 22 people, injured 119 and hurt the hearts of many across the globe.
Police responded to a bomb that went off at 10:33 p.m. in Manchester that people could only describe as a "big bomb". The explosive went off in the main area that was filled with kids as young as 8 years old. The person responsible was carrying the homemade bomb when it went off and died at the scene.
This left the pop star singer "broken," she had later tweeted that she was speechless, "I don`t have words." Her and many other famous people across the world tweeted and shouted out about the poor lives that were taken.
I think Grande spoke for us all when she tweeted, "broken" and "I don`t have words." Because who would really expect going into a concert that it would be bombed? It is really hard to wrap your head around the idea that there are actually people out there who would set off a homemade bomb knowing that there would be children, families, and young adults at this scene.
The feeling of being completely powerless was spread across the globe. The truth is there was nothing the victims could of done to prevent this. They were just living out their lives, trying to have the time of their life at a concert where their lives would end up being taken.
Over 400 police have been deployed throughout Manchester. Even though the attack was there to divide them, it only united them more and the world. We should all keep our thoughts on the ones who were lost and their families. Even though ISIS claims responsibility for this attack there is no evidence making this claim true. This only makes officials to think there might be another attack. Thats exactly what they want you to think though just remember, terrorist can not win if we do not fear. Live your life to the fullest with lots of love, passion, and confidence. Do not give in to the cowardness of this attack but find a way to bring more love in the world to prevent any more hatred into the world.
