First off, let me say this, you're getting the best girl in the world and if you ever hurt her, you're going to wish she had a different best friend. I'm scarier than most dads and I am not ashamed of that. I really hope you understand that when I say you're the luckiest guy in the world, I mean it. I don't know where I would be without her, so I owe it to her to make sure you never break her heart.

Listen, you have such a kind, funny, and beautiful girl on your hands. She deserves everything and more. She's stuck with me through the good and the bad and I know she'll do the same for you. My best friend gives 100 percent to everything she does and I expect to see 100 percent from you. She's waited a long time for this moment and when it comes I just want her to be happy. She deserves the world because she's helped make mine a better place.

I'm not asking you to give her expensive things or never do anything for yourself, I'm just asking you to appreciate her. Some days I don't think she understands just how special she is and I need you to take over the job of reminding her for me. Laugh at her jokes, even the ridiculous ones... which turn out to be most of her jokes. When she's bored, go ride around with her, she likes doing that. She doesn't really ever ask for much, but she deserves a lot. You don't have to be extravagant, just love her the right way.

All I want is for her to be happy and so if I seem a little tough on you at first, that's why. I'm just here to make sure that you're the absolute best person for her. She's always helping me realize who is good for me and who isn't and it's only fair that I do the same. I promise I probably like you a whole lot more than I let on, so don't worry. If she thinks you're amazing, you probably are, because I've learned that 97 percent of the time she is right.

Here's the thing, while I'll still be in her life, you're eventually going to become her best friend. You won't completely replace me, (because let's face it I'm awesome) but you will spend more time with her and you'll be the one taking care of her more often. The bond you two will have will be stronger and I just want to make sure the person taking my place as her go-to will do a good job. She won't always tell you when something is wrong, eventually, you'll just figure it out. She's independent and very capable of taking care of herself, but sometimes she just needs a reminder that she doesn't have to do things on her own.

You are a very lucky guy to have gotten ah girl like her to love you. She really is something special. She is one of the best people I have ever met and I just hope you treat her that way. I'm not here to scare you, really, I'm not, I'm just here to ensure her happiness. Whoever you are and wherever you may be, I just hope you know that one day you're going to end up with this amazing girl.
