To My Future Husband
A Better You

Dear Future Husband,

First of all, I think of you often. In fact, you are on my mind every day. I do not know who you are yet, but I always wonder about you. I wonder what your personality is like, and I am excited to find out what you look like. I am excited for our life together, and I know that God has some great plans for us.

Each and every day, I am growing and changing into the person God has created for you. God is preparing me for you, and He is definitely taking his time. I know that He is preparing you too, and I know that God loves to make us wait! I am an impatient person, so I know that in waiting on you, I am learning how to enjoy the journey. I am going to be the best person I can be for you, and I pray that you are doing the same for me.

I want you to know that I am praying for you. I am praying that you are growing in your walk with the Lord every day. I am praying that you are already so in love with the Lord, and I pray that we will only grow stronger in our walk with the Lord when we are together. Also, I pray that you are as excited to meet me, as I am ecstatic for the day I meet you.

Please know that I already love you, and I will always love you with everything I have. I come from a broken childhood, but I will love you with my whole heart. No matter how much I will love you, I will always love God the most. In fact, God will always be in the center of our relationship. We simply cannot thrive or move mountains together without Him.

I was broken. I came from a dark and twisted past, but I am not there anymore. Do not be afraid of my past because it is the past! If anything, my past has helped me become the strong and confident woman I am today. I want you to know that if you also have a dark past, it is okay. I will not judge you for your past because it is not your present. We have thrived and have been redeemed by the one King! I do not care about your past. I care about your present and future.

I am needy and clingy. By this, I mean that I will want your affection and attention all of the time. I will most likely want to snuggle with you all of the time. In addition, I will probably say that I love you all of the time. Get used to it because this is how I show my affection for others. I apologize in advance for my constant affection, but it means that you are special to me!

We need to have spontaneity in our relationship. My favorite activities are the ones that are done spontaneously. I love to keep life fun and exciting. I have never been a fan of planned events. Last minute plans are the best! In additon, we must have spontaneous worship sessions. Not only do I connect with the Lord best in music, but we will really grow in our relationship with him. It will also be good for us to do together.

I'm wild and crazy. I am stubborn and frustrating. I am loud and joyful. I will love you more than anything else in this world. I absolutely cannot wait until I meet you. I know that you are absolutely perfect for me. Until then, I am praying for you. I love you!

Love,
your future wife.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
