Spring break is right around the corner. For most of us, that means a week where we can sleep, relax, and take a much-needed break from the semester. If you can help it, I would suggest not working during your spring break; that's my plan.

So what, you may ask, should you do on your break?

1. In the first couple days of break, as much as you don't want to, tackle any homework assignments that you have to get done.

2. Marathon your favorite TV series/movies with your friends

3. Spend time with your family – admit it you miss them.

4. Go to a beach that is close to your house.

5. Take a road trip to somewhere you've never been before – or just go with no particular destination in mind!

6. Check out the nightlife that is near your house – if you live near D.C. or any major city there are a lot of options!

7. Look up attractions that your city or town has– you might find a hidden treasure

8. Tan–if the weather allows this is one thing I am definitely going to take advantage–this is one reason that summer is my favorite season.

9. Try something new! Whether that means going on a vacation by yourself, getting a tattoo, or trying some new food, give new things a chance!

10. Go to a concert! There are probably some concerts that you can go to that aren't super expensive! Although for me, the concert will be after spring break when I go see Panic! At The Disco!!!

11. Start planning for your summer! This summer is going to be amazing and spring break marks the halfway point in the semester! Start getting excited and giving yourself something to look forward to.

12. Start learning a new language you've always wanted to learn.

13. Go on a Netflix or YouTube binge... now it's acceptable

14. Give yourself a spa day - you've earned it.

The list could go on and on of things you can do over spring break but whatever you decide to do, make sure you are safe and have fun! Summer will be here before you know it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
