5 Make Up Trends That Need To Go

Our so-called "make up trends" that just need to go...

In our modern world where trends go viral in a matter of a day (thanks to social media), we have lots of fashion trends and makeup trends that we can check out on social media, some of which are very questionable in how they even became beauty trends. As a girl who moderately likes makeup, I have explored some famous Instagram makeup bloggers and beauty accounts and have found some of the most unnatural and ugly trends. And they. Need. To. Go.

1. Wavy Brows

First thing I thought when I saw this is….why? Is this art? Is this pretty? Is this fun to put on? Whatever it is, it looks painted on a person's face, and it needs to go because this is one of the most unnatural things I have seen on someone's face.

2. Feather Brows

Following up the wavy brows, this one is just as bad. You purposefully separate your brow hair in two opposite directions, to make it look like a feather. Our brows are not feathers. I repeat, our brows are NOT feathers.

3. Faux Freckles

Now, this is exactly the opposite of "Love what you are." If you're born with freckles, you're beautiful. If you're born without freckles, you're still beautiful. And you don't need to put faux freckles on your face just so you can have pretend freckles.

4. Overrated Plump Lip

Okay, I get that Kylie Jenner has made some of us obsessed with the plump lips, but it's just too much. I know that there are millions of tutorial videos on how to make your lips look plump, but honestly, sometimes it just looks unnatural, like the photo above. And remember the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge that went viral in 2015 when many people ended up with painful, swollen lips? Yeah, that just says it all.

5. Cheetos Bronzer

I don't know how this even became a trend, but it is. I have seen many girls who have too much bronzer on their faces and they end up looking too brown/orange for their skin colour, but this bronzer is orange. Let's just stick to the snacks, please.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
