Coming to college often times, you become broke. Depending on your home situation or if you yourself have a job most of the time you don't get to have as much money as you might have at home. I have been in college for one year and I am gratefully funded by my parents, but that does not mean that making easy extra cash on the side doesn't matter.
1. Making Study Guides
This was my main source of extra cash and when I say I made some good money.... I made some good money. You are in a college class that may or may not offer a study guide. If there is an extensively long study guide that nobody in the class wants to do, suck it up and do it.
Just dedicate one night to get it over with, send out an email to your class (I wouldn't include the professor in that email if I were you) and announce that you are selling the study guide. Create it on a google doc and restrict the settings to where only you can copy, paste, print, download, and edit. College classes average around 100 people per class; therefore, if you sell your study guide for $2 a person... that is $200 right there.
2. Sell / Rent Your Prom Dresses
There are formals or other nice events that different college kids in different groups go to! Everybody is over the days of spending $200-$300 for a freaking dress, so why let that nice dress that you will never wear again just sit there? Sell your dresses to get some extra cash! Easy and I promise you probably will never wear it again.
3. Tutor
College is hard, and a lot of professors aren't available for extra help. Ask around in a class you understand or did understand and see if anybody is needed a tutor. This method probably makes the least amount of money out of all five, but you are also helping a fellow peer so there is more gratification in that.
4. Do Makeup
Along will selling your prom dresses for these special events, you can also provide makeup services if you are capable of doing so. A lot of girls might struggle with makeup, but if you are good at it getting your makeup done is so nice.
5. Sell Your Clothes
I know there are at least 10 pieces of clothing in your wardrobe you could sell for cheap. You free up closet space and also make a little money. Your body changes ( ughhhh freshman 15 ) when you come to college so a lot of your clothes no longer fit. Make some money to buy clothes that do fit!
Hopefully, you can make some easy extra cash with these techniques!!
