In college, a lot of us students are looking for jobs so they can get by. The job search isn't easy with twenty or so people apply for the three positions available at a job. There are a bunch of different ways to make money and I'm going to give you the low down on how to make some extra cash in college.
1. On Campus Jobs
GiphyYour campus is always posting jobs for different departments. The bookstore, campus eatery, resident assistants, you name it. As long as you got at least a 2.5-3.0 GPA, you already eligible. They'll be able to work with you about your schedule so you can make your hours and go to class. Their pay is above minimum wage so that's a plus.
2. Seasonal Retail Jobs
Black Friday and Christmas season is on the way and retail chains are looking to hire people for the season. Target, Walmart, Kohl's, The Santa's Village at the Mall. Two months of work and the majority of it is on the weekends. The pay is above average and you also get perks with the job such as employee discounts.
3. Nannying
GiphyBabysitting can get you some quick cash but being a nanny will give you a prolong steady income. Parents are looking for people to watch their kids during the day while they're at work. If you have siblings or cousins, then you know how to take care of kids.
4. Online Surveys

Websites like Inboxdollars.com and surveymonkey.com will have you do surveys that'll reward you from twenty-five cents to a dollar. You have to have consistency to reach the goal where you can cash out but it won't take you long.
5. Background Acting

They put out casting calls for people to work background and be stand-ins in major productions. Go onto Projectcasting.com and CentralCasting.com to apply for casting jobs and send your pictures out. The way to work around it is that castings are posted the day before or the week before the scheduled shoot date.
6. Braiding/Weaving Hair
If you know how to do hair, put the skills to good use. Hair salons in the states over-charge for doing braids or weaves. You can actually go to the person's house or they come to yours and give them a reasonable price to do their hair. If you know how to braid than you can do a full head in half the time it takes at the salon.
7. YouTube
You don't need a whole production team to do Youtube. All you need is your phone and a camera. Consistency is key and with that, you can get on the partner program where you can get paid for your videos. Even if you aren't in the program, you can get paid by sponsors to review products, movies, go out to events and vlog about it. A hobby that can get you a nice penny.
