Earth Day is an extremely important day to remind everyone around us to do better for the planet.
Mostly the days after Earth Day, we fall short and pick back up on our every day routines. If you're wanting to make some small changes that could exponentially make a great difference, please consider doing these things!:
Plant a tree.
Maybe this seems like a lot of work or that this won't make much of a difference, but in the rainforests, 2,000 trees are cut down per minute.
Pick up trash, even if it's not yours.
The picking up trash challenges are so in! Plastic bottles take 450 years to break down, and 200 years for a soda can. Get a few buddies and clean up! Littering does more damage than you think.
Take shorter showers.
Save water any chance you get!
Cut down on driving.
Carpool, walk, bike, or even take the public transportation system if there's one available to you!
Use a re-usable shopping bag!
Sadly, 1-5 trillion plastic bags are consumed by whales each year. That's almost 10 million per minute! Save the whales!
Buy re-usable containers and bottles.
Using less plastic is so much better for the environment and it will save you money!
Even just adding these small things in your everyday life could make a big impact on our environment. It's our job to take care of it!
