I recently went to the Magnolia Farms as a surprise from my boyfriend. These are a few things I wish I could have known before I went. Take my advice if you're planning on going. Trust me, it will come in handy when you're there.
1. Park at the church across the street.
You don’t have to walk far. The proceeds also go to a church so that's always good!
2. Be ready for it to constantly be cramped.
3. Bring sunscreen!!
(And sunglasses, which should be implied since it is Texas while the sun is out.)
4. Dogs are welcome in certain areas, so please bring it so everyone can pet it.
5. Don’t worry about eating before you go, there are food trucks.
And trust me, they are so good! 'The Boss' from the grilled cheese truck is amazing (especially with a sweet tea.)
6. Don’t go after it rains.
If you’re gonna wear cute shoes, go on a dry day. Wait, scratch that, dress comfy because your feet will hurt if you try to be too cute.
7. Get the sweet tea.
It’s worth it. It might seem crazy to spend $8 on a tea, but you get a cute mason car and straw. Plus it’s only $2 for a refill!
8. Make sure to bring money because everything is pretty much $25 or more.
9. It’s definitely something everyone should do if you love Fixer Upper.
I walked in with the thoughts ‘omg this is so Jo’. I was absolutely freaking out because I’m such a fangirl.
