OUR MISSION: Love Your Melon is an apparel brand dedicated to giving a hat to every child battling cancer in America as well as supporting nonprofit organizations who lead the fight against pediatric cancer.

That statement above is straight from https://www.loveyourmelon.com/

Love Your Melon is an amazing organization that not many people know about. I am here to inform you all.

Majority of college and universities have campus crews through Love Your Melon.

Campus crews are groups of students that are willing to volunteer their time and help bring awareness to pediatric cancer. Campus crews DO NOT sell hats and apparel. We do however raise awareness and help change children’s lives.

Campus crews are made up of four leadership positions and then crew members. A crew captain, event manager, public relations manager, and secretary. A lot of work is put into each and every campus crew.

Rewards and activities are given to campus crews when they hit a certain level of credits.

Credits are accumulated by the number of followers on the crew’s social media accounts. Each crew has a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter account.

Swab drives are held on campus once a crew hits 100 credits.

Hospital visits are done when a crew hits 1,000 credits.

The support and following that each campus crew receives are in direct correlation with their success and number of events they participate in.

Personally, I have been pouring my heart and soul into the campus crew that I am working with. Helping kids is something that is extremely eye-opening and rewarding.

Love Your Melon is SO much more than the hats. It is about helping sick children and trying to brighten their days. Love Your Melon has won my heart and many others. I hope that the more you learn and see about this organization we can share the same amount of love for it!

Love Your Melon is about making a difference and raising awareness. Our love for children and wanting to make a change is our number one priority.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
