If you're reading this and you aren't a content creator, you should apply to be one.
Joining Odyssey has been one of the best decisions I have made in my two years of college. I have learned more about myself and my writing through this platform. It's so much more than just a place to share my thoughts and feelings.
Odyssey is a great way to talk about certain topics in a professional manner. There are so many topics that you can expand on. I have written things about relationships, school, friendships, and mental health. If you're lucky, you might even be featured on their Facebook page. This has happened to me a few times, and there is nothing more rewarding.
Odyssey has given me a better support system. Sometimes, it's hard to remember that other content creators are just like me. They are genuinely interested to read the articles I am writing and to talk about things that are going on in my life. It's nice that I can be walking around campus and see other fellow Odyssey creators. We sometimes even know too much about each other.
I have always loved writing, but I never knew that other people would love my writing too. I am much more confident in my own writing skills. I am more confident with expressing how I feel about certain situations. This is a place where I can be myself and be proud of who I am. Writing isn't a chore anymore, it is something that I genuinely enjoy.
There are so many other things I can thank Odyssey for. I want to thank Odyssey for giving me so many resources to improve my writing. I have spent countless hours learning proper grammar and how to get more views on my posts. I also want to thank Odyssey for helping me realize that the number of views I have don't matter. Of course, it's nice to have a lot of people read my content, but I am doing this for myself. I am doing this because I love writing.
