Struggles of Someone Who Loves To Sleep

Why does any good TV exist after 9 PM anyway?

Struggles of Someone Who Loves To Sleep

Being someone who loves to sleep can be a real struggle sometimes. It's hard enough to get out of bed in the morning for any person, but imagine getting out of bed when that's where you're happiest because you love to sleep? Terrible! Here are just a few struggles of someone who loves to sleep.

Committing to a Night Out

Yeah, going out with friends or family is fun, especially when it's something to look forward to. It should be something that anyone might jump on the opportunity to say yes to immediately, but not if you love to sleep. How can you commit to staying up until ungodly hours of the night, and then probably be woken up way too early. That's a serious struggle that only us sleep lovers think about ahead of time.

Early Morning Activities

Sure, waking up early to get a workout in or a lot done before you then have to get ready to go to work for an entire day sounds like a good idea... but is it really? When that alarm goes off bright and early, us sleep lovers will snooze until the very last second because it's so much than being productive. It's SLEEP.

Being On Time

Going off that last point, being on time is tough when you love and value your sleep more than most. You snooze for way too long, and you fit in a nap whenever you can, which usually makes you late for whatever activity you're committed to. Being on time is tough when you don't want to move from your favorite place, which happens to be your bed.

Morning People

People who love to sleep usually take a little bit longer in the morning to wake up and get into their routine. So what's the worst thing to encounter at 9 am when you've slept until 8 and barely gotten yourself together to get to work on time? Morning People.

Shows that air past 9 PM

Don't these television stations know that their loyal viewers also might like to get to bed at a reasonable hour? What are they thinking starting a show at 9 PM or 10 PM on a weeknight?! Of course, you can't miss the show and risk being completely out of the loop the next day or even worse, encountering spoilers, so you stay up and cry in the morning because you didn't get your full 9 hours of rest.

Getting out of bed

In general, this is just the worst part of the day. When you love your sleep this much, you equally love your bed just as much. Leaving it in the morning is dreadful. And on the flip side, getting back into bed at night if your favorite part of the day!

Being tired all the time

People who love to sleep think it'll fix everything and they're constantly longing to go back to sleep. You just want to get back into your bed because a good night's sleep can actually cure all.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
