7 Reasons Why I'll Always Love My Older Sister
Emma Rikas

Being someone's younger sister is the best. My older sisters and brother are all amazing and my younger sister is awesome, and they could each have their own article about them. My younger, older sister Abbey is who this article is about. These are some of the reasons why I love her!

1. She is a strong, independent woman!

She doesn't need anyone around or to help her, but she chooses to let others in and help, and that is a sign of true strength to me.

2. She loves her family.

It doesn't matter how mad she is at us, at the end of the day, her family is where her heart lies. She would do anything for her family.

3. She works hard at everything.

As a recent graduate from HACC for radio-logical technology (or in simple terms, she takes your x-rays), she received two awards for her hard work. She also is a mother and now works as a rad tech.

4. She taught me to care for anyone and everyone, especially family!

Everyone should receive love and kindness, and that is something she taught me. My family is definitely one of a kind, but I love them all!

5. She's not afraid to tell you what you need to hear.

In today's society, most people are afraid to tell people things because they don't want to offend or hurt someone. My sister is the kind of person who rarely sugar coats things. She will tell you like it is, straight up.

6. She's willing to be silly!

Yes, that is an old tricycle. No, she doesn't care.

7. She's my big sister!

She's my big sister and I look up to her always. Even when we don't get along, she's still my sister and I love her with all my heart. She is one of my biggest role models.

Abbey, don't ever change! You are a beautifully gorgeous woman inside and out. I love you. Forever and always!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
