A Love Letter To My T-Shirt Dress
Style By Salli

I've never been able to find a comfy dress that is the right length. Being five-foot-eight, every dress comes up extremely short and people won't stop staring at my long legs. But I don't have to worry about that with you because your hem hits in just the perfect spot.

Some may think you're a shapeless piece of fabric, but that's because you don't like to give it all away. You leave just enough room for imagination and make me look effortless at the same time.

The simplicity of your stripes makes me feel like I just stepped out of a Parisian movie. I love how loose you are, never hugging me too tightly. Not to mention you give me extra room to eat as much margarita pizza as my heart desires.

Don't even get me started on how soft you are. I'm afraid of ruining your delicate fabric so I never put you in the washing machine. Hand-washing takes a little bit longer, but I'll take the extra time because I'd probably cry if you fell apart.

It's hard to believe you've been a part of my life for three years now. Ever since you came in the mail, I knew we'd be best friends. I've styled you with tights and denim jackets in the colder months and worn you with white sneakers in the warmer months. You've practically seen half of the world now, I made sure to pack you in my carry-on so you'd never get lost.

Actually, that's a lie: you've gotten lost with me many times. Wandering the coast of Montenegro, you kept me company over my bathing suit as we searched for the best gelato. Even when I was in Germany, you were my favorite pair of pajamas.

You're my go-to because you make me feel like the girl-next-door from a rom-com, dancing in the kitchen making breakfast with my love interest. Or maybe I'm just making pancakes for myself...but it really doesn't matter. You make my life better in so many ways; you will always be more than a piece of clothing to me.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
