Love Is A Crazy Idea

I've Learned A Lot From Someone Special In My Life.

Love Is A Crazy Idea
Clarisse Meyer

Life throws plenty of curve balls my way and yet, I still find the strength to keep on moving forward. I've dealt with losses, gains, betrayal, and lessons. However, there is one thing I'm constantly learning so much about in terms of myself and what it has to offer me That one thing is love. Yes, you may be rolling your eyes at this point and calling me crazy, but I'm only here to speak to you about the truth.

There is just something about the way love makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Yes, this sounds cliche and boring; however, this is really what it feels like. There is someone in my life who really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. He is the sweetest person and acts like a true gentleman. He never asks me to change just because he doesn't like something. He doesn't pressure me into decisions I am against. He doesn't take my voice away and try to control me. Most of all, he doesn't disrespect me and what I stand for.

This man gives me everything I could ever ask for and holds me close when I need a shoulder to cry on. He warms my heart on the coldest days when I feel alone. I have experienced dating before, but it never felt like what I have with this man. He gives me a reason to wake up every day with a smile on my face. He let's me be me and I love that about him.

He takes on all my craziness, but also my tempered moments when I'm mad. He knows how to handle my low self-esteem and bring me back to a better place. Just holding his hand makes my heart beat a little faster every time. I have never felt this way about someone as I do about him. He has stolen a large part of my heart and I don't think I would like it back. He is truly genuine and kind right to the core.

You may be wondering how a guy like this could possibly exist, but they are out there. You just have to be patient and know what you're looking for.

Every time, the man I have adore smiles, his eyes light up so bright. He is always cheery and will lend a helping head to those in need. He cares about others before himself and sometimes, he forgets to take care of himself. This is where I step in. I always show him how much he is loved and cared about. There is no time that goes by that I don't remind him of how much he means to me. If there was anyone I would love to spend every waking moment with it would be him. This is what I mean about love doing things to you.

Love will change the very face of your world and flip it upside down. in no way is love perfect, but it is genuine. Love takes a lot of work and I am willing to do put in the effort to make my relationship work. Don't be afraid of what love can do to you. It may just end up being the best thing to ever happen to you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
