Lorelai Gilmore is one of the main characters in the show Gilmore Girls. She is the mother of Lorelai (Rory) Gilmore, whom she named after herself, a coffee fanatic, and always full of witty comebacks and sassy remarks. While she was a full-fledged adult with one of those job things and a steady income, there were many times you could imagine she was a college student.

1. Her consumption of coffee

In order to stay awake in lecture after spending the night learning beer pong trick shots, a fat coffee is a must.

2. Her realization that life sucks

After getting out of a test, getting a test grade back, or even thinking about the impending adulthood awaiting you and realizing that life sucks.

3. Her loss of memory

The loss of memory is either associated with blacking out last Friday night or falling asleep in class.

4. Her hatred for learning

There may be one that one major-related class people like, but the second midterms roll around, every student hates school.

5. Her lack of enthusiasm

This is the only thought that goes through college student's brains during lecture.

6. Her idea of preparation

What every student thinks when the Professor says there will be short answer questions on the midterm.

7. Her excuses

Every college student's response to their parents when they ask about their weekend plans.

8. Her lack of self-confidence

This is every college student right before every test.

9. Her bluntness

At some point, every college student has a party or a gathering and then can never figure out how to get the people to leave when they want to just go to bed.

10. Her mental breakdowns

No words necessary, at least twice a term the pressure builds up and college students all just explode and breakdown.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
