Winter break can sometimes be very hard for college students because we are more than five minutes away from our best friends and our home away from home. These five or six weeks can be especially hard if you go to Longwood and miss these few things:
1. Chicken Nugget Day at Dhall.
2. Living with your best friends.
3. Cinnamon Roll Latte at Java City.
4. Seeing the Christmas Tree in the center of Ruffner.
5. Meeting your friends at POD at midnight.
6. Morgan's Zumba class.
7. Having more than one person's closet to pick from.
8. Seeing someone you know everywhere you walk.
9. Access to quick and easy food.
10. Not having to cook.
11. El Patron.
12. Bonus dollars.
13. Not having my parents tell me not to eat junk food whenever I want.
14. Chi Alpha and New Life Church.
15. Always having something to do.
16. Not being yelled at by your family for stupid things.
17. Going to bed at whatever time you want.
18. Hampden Sydney's quiet library.
19. Easily getting 10,000 steps every day.
20. Taking a nap whenever, and wherever you want.
21. A "free" gym membership.
22. Uptown coffee.
23. Not having to pay for Chick-fil-A with real money.
24. Midnight trips to Walmart for Ben and Jerry's with your BFFs.
25. Free everything.
26. Not having to drive everywhere you go.
27. That small town family atmosphere.
Even though being at home can be fun, we are all ready to go back to Longwood and jump back into the swing of things where we can have fun (and study hard!) all in the comfort of FarmVille.
