Hey Bestie,
I miss you so much and I'm beyond proud of how far we've come in our lives. In high school, we let the wrong people in but we brought the best in each other out. It really sucks that you're thousands of miles away from me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We are both growing in ways that we would have never expected, and it just makes seeing you during breaks even better. It's like we never left each other's side, but we did and that's okay. I'm proud of both of us and how we were able to take distance and make it a positive thing to be there for each other and succeed at our universities.
I'll never forget the day that we said bye to each other and left so many memories behind, but we continue to make even better ones every time we see each other. The day of graduation, I was scared as to what the future would come to because of the distance that we would soon experience between each other. I'll never forget how weird we were in middle school and how we were able to share that part of our lives together because it was so funny. Those weekends that we spent together bike riding through my park in 90-degree weather are those days that I'm always going to hold on to.
The nights that we would go all over town and spend all of the money we made over the summer are some of the best nights spent. You and I were always there for each other and we always will be and that's what makes me content with life. Knowing that you have a constant support system no matter where you go in life or no matter how hard things get, is the most re-assuring thing I've ever known. I'm glad we took a break for a few years even though it hurt. We benefitted from it in the long run. I know that we are going to be in each other's lives for a long time and I can't wait to make crazy, insane memories with you.
Love,
Your Long Distance Best Friend
