I'm a Marvel fanatic. Like, big time. Watching The Amazing Spider-Man 2 pained me because of how wrongly they represented the villains. With that being said, my absolute favorite of all of the Marvel creations is by far the X-Men. The characters within it are so complex yet most of the movies have failed to reveal that. Lately, however, X-Men origin stories have begun to take serious risks with their movies and Logan did NOT disappoint.

First, let's go back in time to the previous Wolverine movies. Wolverine's origin story was a flop if for no other reason than it depicted Deadpool with really weird powers and with his mouth sewn shut. The second Wolverine movie was a flop because it lacked depth and basically became a kung-fu movie featuring a mutant Hugh Jackman. For Logan, Hugh Jackman is getting his final portrayal of Wolverine and the movie lacks nothing. I'll do my best to keep spoilers out of this post.

The movie is, in fact, rated-R and so parents, I highly advise you not to allow your children to watch this movie unless they have already watched a sequence of horror films. Yes, the movie is that intense. The R-rating is necessary, though, in that there is a ton of grisly violence that needed to be shown. Not only that, but the plot deals with children who were products of a mutant genome and now-missing teenage girls in Mexico. The children are experimented on as they possess the powers of the mutants they spawned from, reason being that the scientists hoped to create a mutant army that they could completely control. It's a disturbing concept and the movie doesn't shy away from the disturbances.

It's a graphic film that will likely stir up some controversy. However, it's a beautifully crafted film that will take you on the biggest emotional rollercoaster imaginable. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, you'll cower in fear, and maybe you'll go look for a support group after the film to deal with the sad moments that you'll only have to find for yourself. What I will say is, the mutants of the past underwent extreme changes that will break your heart. Stay hopeful though, because a new era is dawning for the X-Men. A new generation is stirring and my guess is that it will begin a whole new story for the X-Men movies. However, my guess is that these children will continue their R-rated violence as they've all been trained to be savage killers.

Guys, I don't care who you are, go see Logan. It's the best Wolverine movie and one of the best X-Men movies of all time. I gave it a 10/10 on IMDb, which I absolutely never do. Get out there and see Hugh Jackman's final X-Men role in theaters now.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
