Living In My World
Huffingtonpost.com

Hello world! This is my first article I'm writing and I wanted to introduce myself before I get into depth about fashion. My name is Daishai. If you can't pronounce it just imagine my name is Daisy. I get that trouble a lot. Anyway, I am 20 years years old, about to be 21 in two weeks.

I would describe my personality as shy and soft spoken. I'm a little quiet, when I get around people I don't know. But, I start to talk more once I get to know people better. I pretty much stay to myself and I basically have my own little "bubble". But, I'm trying to meet new people and explore the world more.

I am going to school for fashion. Why fashion, you ask? Fashion has always been apart of me in some way. I can't explain it, but I knew I wanted to learn more about fashion and the different fashion trends around the world. People always tell me, "You're not going to make any money in that field." I never really get why people would tell me this. But, what they said to me didn't matter. Fashion is my passion and my career. My dream is to travel the world and see the different fashion.

The school that I am attending is The Art Institute. The Art Institute is different from other schools. Why, you ask? The environment of the school. The fact that every student in the school has a strong passion for creativity. This is the main reason why I chose this school. It's great that we can be ourselves at The Art Institute. The facility, is another reason why I enjoy this school. the teachers here are so passionate about you. They care about you're future career. They want to see you succeed in the field that you are in. The classes you take are about you're field itself and these classes help in real life situations. I really enjoy the classes that I take.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is where I'm currently living at. Pittsburgh is a big city and has many different events going on. This is the reason why I like Pittsburgh. There are so many different people in Pittsburgh that you could meet. The people here, are kind and would help you if you got lost. There are a lot of different places you can go. For example The Andy Warhol Museum and The Children's Museum.

My dream is to one day live in Paris, France. Fashion is what I love to do. It is my passion. I love sketching outfits and creating new looks. In my career, I want to be a Fashion Visual Merchandiser. I thank you for reading the introduction to my world. My next article will be about fashion in general and how everyone has their own unique style.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
