When you think of a sports brand, many different names automatically come to mind. You picture brands like Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, Reebok and so on. However, probably one of the very first brands you picture is Nike. The iconic swoosh is seen across the world on sports jerseys, stadiums and apparel. The company that started out by selling shoes in the back of an automobile is now considered a gigantic powerhouse among the biggest brands in the world. Nike started out ahead of the pack and continues to be one step ahead of their competition to this day.
The biggest names in sports are all sponsored by Nike—Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, and the list goes on. Everyone wants to be apart of Nike. I think Nike always has the coolest commercials on television over the years. The brand is seen everywhere. Just think, when's the last time you went an entire day without seeing that swoosh on some t-shirt, hat or pair of shoes? The Nike brand has had that large of an impact on society. It's probably right up there with iPhones in terms of popularity. The marketing team for Nike always brings out the coolest looking designs for the brand. There's always something fresh and new coming out of the factory from Nike.
I've been a fan of the Nike brand for so many years now. I think if you ran into me on the street you'd say I'm a walking advertisement for Nike. I live and die by the swoosh. I probably have every type of item possible you could imagine with a Nike logo on it. I just enjoy the products that Nike produces and sells in stores. It's funny walking into stores and people think I'm a store employee. When I visit outlet centers and shopping malls, I find the best deals of what I'm looking for at Nike. Of course, this all comes with the convenience of being a sporty person.
At some point in my life, I think it would be cool to work for Nike. I feel like they have the culture and atmosphere I look for in a brand name. I fit in with the values that Nike stands for. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have my very own place in Nike history.
