Think about your life right this second. Answer these few questions about it:
1. What makes you happiest?
2. What keeps you awake at night?
3. If you were to die tomorrow morning, would you be happy with the life you lived?
When we look into our lives, we often jump to conclusions. We assume we make up our own problems, and we try to fix the world with one band-aid. More often than not, we put the world on our shoulders and pretend it is not killing us. We smile, we laugh, and when people ask us "how we are doing," we respond, "I'm fine" even when we are not, at all.
So often in our lives we have bad days. Sometimes bad weeks. Occasionally bad months. And so on. Something we regularly forget during these tough times is our faith.
God is there for us when we need him. But usually forgotten is that God is there for us when we pretend to not need him. Tough times are hard, exhausting, and depressing. No one chooses to go through tough times, but we are all faced with them. Isolation and hard times go hand-in-hand. We assume we can do it ourselves or that no one else would understand. Little do we remember that God created up to deal with these times; God has set us up perfectly to deal with each and every situation we are faced with in our lives.
With a little love and a lot of faith, we are unstoppable. Tough times are finite, not a lifetime. Trust in God and that His love is you. The only person who can stop you is yourself.
