Pinterest is full of idea boards, dream boards, instructions, and inspiration. The app is widely used by hundreds of thousands of people, there are millions upon millions of posts making it impossible to run out of inspiration. When in doubt there is always a list on Pinterest.
The ideas and crafts can be saved or collected into boards of your own which allows you to link back directly to any post you might decide to recreate or riff of off in the future. There are also creators or boards you can follow by other Pinterest users which could be equated with the influencers seen on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
Gathering a large following on Pinterest often means that thousands of people have either pinned or attempted to recreate your idea or craft. If they haven't done either, then they at the very least think its cool.

Pinterest is normally really good at choosing posts you might be interested in across your home dashboard. The selection is based on previous pins, likes, or sends as well as the users of boards you follow or even the people who follow you. Its essentially this amazing conglomerate of creativity.

*Conglomerate means when a bunch of different distinct entities are grouped together but remain distinct entities. I figured that I should include definitions if I had to double check it myself.
This is probably one of the best things about Pinterest besides the endless amount of ideas and inspiration, Pinterest always has the sourcing information for posts readily available. So even if you are discovering a post from someone else's board who found it elsewhere on the app you can always find the original sourcing. Also, Pinterest notifies you when people like or pin your posts and tells you if it gets saved to someone else's board.

Even though it may be annoying at times that all links lead back to Pinterest when it comes to crafts or prompts when you wrap your head around the whole concept of the app itself its honestly pretty awesome.
