Dear Country Music,
I Love You!
You have not always been my favorite genre of music. I didn't even start listening to you until I got to high school. I was always into boy bands, and pop music. But, when I got to my sophomore of high school and started driving I began to learn to love you! For me and my past, it started as a healing process during my wisdom teeth surgery. And as I had more surgeries I began to understand the lyrics more.
I Appreciated The Meaning Of The Songs More Than The Tune
I began to understand that these artists were writing about there feelings, and not just because they wanted a top hit, and I appreciated that. As I began to face some of the same struggles that these artists faced, I began to really connect with what these artists were saying. I had not been able to do this with any other kind of music.
Thank You!
I want to thank you for making the boring drives home more enjoyable. I want to thank you for being there when I got stuck on the ice and was waiting for my Mom to come help me. Thank you for hiding the sound of my tears on bad days. Thank you for teaching me how to line dance.
Sincerely,
Your Forever Fan
