Recently due to some personal events I have come to the realization that life literally is what you make of it.
Everyone has bad things that happen to them. Some more tragic than others, and maybe some more often than others. BUT, my point is that no one lives a perfect like (except Jesus, who was perfect in every way) and everyone goes through some tough things at some point in their life. Our mind has so much power in how we handle these events. It sounds really crazy, and maybe I'm wrong, but the people you surround yourself with, the types of music you listen to during these moments of life where you're struggling, and your spiritual self really has a huge impact on how you react to certain situations.
Listening to happy music, or even music that just puts you in a good mood really can turn your day from an OK one to a good one super fast. Also, the types of people you hang out with and how they influence your mood can change a lot. People who are positive and who love life are the one's who are going to help lift you up. Lastly, your spiritual life and outlook on why things happen can play a role. For me, I know that even when bad things happen or things don't go my way, it's because I believe God has a plan for me. It's hard to keep that mindset, but making sure I stay in His word and trust in what He is doing then I have an easier time accepting things for the way they are and being content with it.
Happiness is something we all want, it's something that is right there in front of us, but we are the ones in control of it. We determine our happiness. It is possible to see the good in the bad and even when things go wrong we can still be happy. We just have to submerge ourselves in that happy atmosphere and see what is good.
