To The Childhood Best Friend Who You Can Always Pick Things Back Up With, No Matter Where You Two Left Off

To my childhood best friend,

You have been the one who has held my hand through elementary school all the way through high school. I'm thankful that you chose me to swing with and that eventually led us to so much more. Little did we know that the one we played with on the playground would be the one we got ready for prom with.

I couldn't imagine another person to grow up with. Thank you for continuing to stand by me through all of my weird phases like the high pony on the side of my head and the Silly Bandz up to my elbow. Even though we strayed away from each other, somehow we always found our way back together and that is what I am most thankful for.

You have always been and will always be my go-to person. Specifically because no matter how much time went by since our last conversation or since we hung out last, we always pick up right where we left off. Thank you for being the person I can always go to no matter the question or reason.

No matter the situation I am in, I know I can turn to you to pick me up, cheer me on, give me advice or laugh with me. You mean more to me than you will ever know. Thank you for holding my hand through every stage of life so far, I will never let go. I'm looking forward to the future with you as my best friend.

Your loyalty throughout the years has taught me so many things. I hope I am as good a friend to you as you are to me. One thing I will always be sure of is that you will always be my best friend, no matter how many years past or how many miles are between us and I want you to know that I'll always be here for you, the same you have been here for me.

With all my love,

Your forever friend

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
