Do we ever get to fully reveal to ourselves the perspective of life? Do we always depend on social media to be that lens that shows us what a perspective of life looks like? We always depend on social media to be our lens for life. We always capture moments like concerts, views, attractions but are we fully grasping the concert or the view in front of us?
We use social media as a "lens". What I mean by this is we always depend on social media we never fully depend on ourselves or our ability to change. Social media is a platform in which there's so much involvement and we never get to know our true selves. If we want to change we always look at social media for ideas.
Life is a beautiful thing. Yet we neglect it so much so that we use our "lens" to show us a perspective on life. We trust social media to show us what is expected and what is not. We always listen to and try to follow all social norms but are we really happy? Some are addicted to following each new trend that comes out or knowing each lyric to a song released by an artist. What do we get by following the latest trend or knowing the latest songs?
Social media is a professional at controlling the lives of millions. We let social media determine what we should wear, what we should do, or how we should act in front of different groups of people? If we let go of this controlling platform we feel like we no longer fit in or we are not the type of "normal" accepted in society.
Getting the real perspective of life means to stop depending on social media for all your needs. If you want to be happier don't search on google: "how to be happy?" You need to figure it out what it is that makes you happy. Is it spending time with family? Or catching up with that friend that you been missing? Once you stop depending on social media for all your needs you will become that much more powerful and you will have an optimistic view on mostly anything and especially an optimistic view on life itself.
The next step is to stop comparing yourself to others. Comparing yourself to others will do nothing but crush your emotions a bit. You will judge yourself and ask yourself questions like" Why am I not that pretty? Or Why am I not like her or him? Comparing does nothing but hurt your ego and self-esteem.
The last and final step is to put down your phone. You don't always need your phone in your hand constantly scrolling through a newsfeed or texting away. You can now finally enjoy and learn what your perspective of life is. Lastly, I will share with you my perspective on life.
My perspective of life is that you can do anything you want, achieve anything you want, and with doing anything you want and achieving anything you want you can be your original self. Don't get stuck to this platform known as social media and don't always become a different version of yourself when talking to different groups of people. Social media will only control us if we let it.
