It's OK To Feel Lost Sometimes

We all feel that way.

Whether you're lost about what you want to do next year, or you're lost in a subject in school, it's a normal feeling to feel lost sometimes. Everyone gets confused or goes down the wrong path at least once. When you're feeling confused in terms of your next step in life, you just have to look inside of yourself and determine how you're feeling and what will make you happy.

Self-care is an important thing, and choosing a path that will make your soul happy is the most important thing that you could do for yourself.

Last semester, when I was deciding on commuting this semester instead of living on campus, I went through a time of confusion. I didn't know which path to take: stay on campus with my friends, but also be unhappy, or commute to school and not be close to my friends, but have a chance to be happier.

In this case, I chose the option that I'd be happiest, even if I wasn't living close to my friends.

Fortunately, I figured it out because the pros outweighed the cons, but I'm even facing the same issue this semester on deciding if I want to take a semester off to save money and work on my mental health, or if I want to just do my four years in a straight shot.

It's hard to make an important decision when you're lost and don't know what to do, but it's important to look at the pros and cons. If there are more pros than cons to your decision, do it. It's important to look at how you're feeling on the inside and make a decision based on yourself, not anyone else.

We all feel lost sometimes, but the paths you choose are about you, and you shouldn't care what others may think.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
