1. Put God first

Both of my grandfathers have taught me this. They never forced this on me, but I have seen the miracles God has done in their lives, and it just makes it more clear that he is always with me... It also helps when my Pappy gives me verses to read and things to look up.

2. Life is hard, get a helmet

Pappy has told me this for a few years now. He knows major bad things happen that we can't control, but we have to walk hand-in-hand with the Word and go on.

3. Always love unconditionally

The way they both love my grandmothers is honestly so amazing. They are no where near perfect, but they carry love in their hearts for them and their family.

4. Be kind to everyone

To the stranger on the street, the person who did you wrong, to everyone you know. "Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see." - Mark Twain

5. Learn how to drive a stick shift

Yeah, I'm still working on this one...

6. Treat everyone with respect

No matter what race, ethnicity, religion, age, political preference, or what job they have, we are all human. You may not agree with them, but treat them with respect.

7. Animals are everyone's best friend

Oh Lord, this one is kind of a big deal. They both have had so many pets I can't even count. From dogs to cats to chickens to donkeys, they experienced it all. They both love animals, and so do I.

8. Work hard

Both of them have worked everyday since they were young to provide for their families. They taught me that hard work goes a long way.

9. Be adventurous

My Papaw traveled most of the south-east by car, motorcycle, or by camper. He always wanted to travel to new and old places, he couldn't stay still. That's one of the things I love about him, he was always discovering new places, and never slowed down.

10. Live life the way you want to and follow your dreams

All they ever wanted for me is to be happy, follow my dreams, and put God first. They also want me to have fun, and do different things. Which I am currently trying to do.

*B O N U S*

11. They'll always be here for me

One is watching me from Heaven, and the other is taking care of me on Earth. I'll always be a grandfathers' girl.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
